Hensol Estate Rules & Regulations

All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, please do not allow your dog to roam the Estate unaccompanied, we are a working farm and have live stock in neighbouring fields, whilst we are dog lovers ourselves, not everyone likes a visiting dog.

We have installed a noise curfew between the hours of 11pm & 8am, noise should be kept to a minimum during this period and not disturb others, two or more complaints will results in cancellation of booking with no refund required.  We will also reserve the right to cancel any future bookings if a life ban is required. 

Please make sure that you remove all litter and recycling, depositing it in the bins proved.

Open fires are not permitted, you can use a BBQ or fire pit, this can be supplied by ourselves or you can bring your own, however they MUST be off the ground and not damage the grass. 

Any instances where we believe there are more people in the party than has been stated in the booking we will reserve the right to charge double the pitch fee or ask to you leave as of immediate effect, we do hourly checks throughout the day and night and reserve the right to request booking information for confirmation. 

No firearms, wood cutting knives or similar devices are permitted, we do not give permission for any wood to be taken or chopped down from the Estate to be used on the camp fires, or hunting on the Estate.  Fishing locally is catch and release only. 

Children must be supervised at all times, parents/carers are responsible for all children under the age of 16.  No climbing on the trees, making a tree swing or playing within the toilet block is permitted at any time.

The owners reserve the right to terminate any booking at any time where we believe a “group booking” has been made without prior consent, if a person’s conduct is less than satisfactory to us or others on site we will cancel the booking as of immediate effect with no refund being given and said parties will be asked to leave immediately.  Upon instances where a verbal altercations has taken place we do reserve the right to contact the local police to have person/s involved removed if necessary. 

Whilst we make every effort to avoid instance where anyone is made to feel uncomfortable or peace be disturbed, we cannot offer a refund in this instance.  We monitor the park as much as possible and will support all visitors as best as we can.

We do not have facilities for charging electric cars, this can be done in Castle Douglas.

Please make sure you have the necessary travel insurance against any unforeseen circumstances.
